MARY O'HAGAN

A FOCUSED AND INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP DESIGNER AND FACILITATOR

Girl in the Mirror by Pablo Picasso

You want workshops that will inspire participants to change and give them the tools to do it.

Mary provides workshops and training courses throughout the world. She blends idealism with pragmatism and tailors her workshops to meet the clients needs. They include:

One-off workshops

  • Recovery oriented services and systems
  • Alternatives to compulsory treatment
  • Recovery approaches to risk management
  • Recovery planning
  • Peer support and advocacy
  • Understanding psychosis from the inside
  • Service user leadership in services
  • Discrimination and human rights

Mary can also design  workshops on other topics she has expertise in, to fit the client's needs.

Courses
  • Recovery competencies for mental health workers. (Up to 5 days - based on the publication and updated).
  • Peer wellbeing recovery learning for people with lived experience. (From 2011 - up to 13 face to face sessions - see the website).

I have observed Mary adapt her work in different cultures and environments. She has the gift of understanding concepts, designing frameworks and translating them, to train and lead people on how to best implement changes.

Fran Silvestri, Director, International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership.
